There are seven district director positions, which are filled by farmers who live in each district, as well as two at-large positions, which can be filled by farmers from anywhere in Michigan.

District 1 is located in the southern west-side of Michigan and includes the following counties: Berrien, Branch, Cass, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph and Van Buren.

Gary has been farming in Eaton county for the past 30+ years. When asked why he wanted to serve as an MSA Director, “To promote the advancement of soybean production and increase membership at the local level. To also promote the advancement in the use of soybeans and soy based products.”

District 3 is located in the southern east-side of Michigan and includes the following counties: Lenawee, Livingston, Monroe, Washtenaw and Wayne.

Tom farms soybeans and corn on his family farm and also raises wholesale greenhouse bedding plants for a local retailer. They also grow hops for local breweries. He graduated from Michigan State University and is active in a variety of agriculture organizations.

District 4 is located on the east side of Michigan in the thumb region and includes the following counties: Huron, Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair and Sanilac.

Karen farms soybeans and wheat with her husband and is also involved in the St. Clair County Farm Bureau. She is a current participant in the MABA Leadership Program and is employed as a grain merchant at Michigan Agricultural Commodities.

District 5 is located on the eastern side of mid-Michigan and includes the following counties: Arenac, Bay, Saginaw, Lapeer and Tuscola.

Allison works on her family farm and seed sales business with her father, Don. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and is a graduate of the 2019-2020 Corteva Agriscience Young Leader Program.

District 6 is located in mid-Michigan and is made up of the following counties: Clinton, Genesee, Ionia and Shiawassee.

PJ works with his dad on their farm, where they grow row crops and provide custom farming serivces. They also have a variety of ag retail businesses. PJ has an Associate's Degree from the University of Northern Ohio and is involved Clinton County Farm Bureau. He also participated in the American Soybean Association's Corteva Young Leader program.

District 7 is made up of the remainder of the counties in Michigan.
